Consultant – Pediatric Infectious DiseaseDr. Coelho is an American Board Certified Pediatrician and Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician. She completed her medical school at St. John’s Medical College, India, and subsequently pursued her Pediatric Residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Following this, she trained at the Center for Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, Ohio. She has a special interest in Quality, Patient Safety, and Health Outcomes, and was supported for an additional year as Clinical Scholar in Quality and Patient Safety in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.She served as Clinical Instructor, Faculty of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Ohio. She enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.Through her clinical experiences, she has worked with General Pediatrics Inpatient and Outpatient, Emergency Medicine, General and Subspecialty Surgery ( Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, and ENT surgery), Critical care both Neonatal/Pediatric, Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, Gastroenterology-Hepatology with Multivisceral Organ Transplant, Nephrology with Dialysis/Transplant, Cardiology with Implantable Cardiac Devices/ECMO and Transplant, Rheumatology, and Immunology.
As part of her clinical work and research in improving Health Outcomes, she also takes a special interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Control, and Informatics.
