5. Difficulty breathing (dyspnea): Very large nodules or nodules located close to the windpipe (trachea) may cause difficulty breathing, especially when lying flat or during physical exertion.

6. Thyroid dysfunction: In some cases, thyroid nodules can disrupt the normal function of the thyroid gland, leading to symptoms of hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) or hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). These symptoms may include weight changes, fatigue, heat intolerance, sweating, palpitations, and changes in bowel habits.

It’s important to note that many thyroid nodules are discovered incidentally during imaging tests (such as ultrasound or CT scans) performed for unrelated reasons and may not cause any symptoms. However, if symptoms are present or if a nodule is discovered, further evaluation by a healthcare professional, typically including thyroid function tests and possibly a fine needle aspiration biopsy, may be recommended to determine the cause and appropriate management.
